I received a message from a friend of mine a few weeks ago explaining to me that her friend needed a last minute photographer to shoot his proposal to his girlfriend. I couldn’t have been more excited to accept the position! For years I have been working on checking this type of shoot off my bucket list. Anyways, Eric contacted me and explained he needed a photographer just 3 days away. Once again, I leaped at the chance. He explained to me that he was going to propose in Del Mar at sunset. The result was something amazing! Eric worked out an entire scheme. I brought a friend that I am mentoring along with me and pretended to be teaching her different things. We then approached them and asked if we could photograph them to help build my friends portfolio. Of course he said yes. We positioned them and began shooting. When we finished, I told them thank you and that we got what we needed. Eric then asked if he could do one more. This was the moment he told her he loved her and got down on one knee. I can’t lie, I had a few tears in my eyes. At this moment, the sun was just right and the mood was set, and well of course SHE SAID YES! We finished up the night with a few romantic shots of the two of them. It was an honor to be apart of this!
